Guiding a medical student who was still exploring medicine as a whole required a completely different approach. It encouraged me to adapt my mentoring style and broadened my own perspective on mentorship. I feel that I also grew professionally through this truly rewarding and fulfilling experience.
I believe the programme is an excellent initiative. The structured format, regular meetings, and opportunity to discuss real clinical cases have been very well received, and I think it provides a valuable complement to local residency training.
I believe it is very important to connect the doctors of the future to our society from a young age, so as to have a generational turnover with sufficient professional skills in advance when the time comes to culturally support the head and neck radiology society.
